Week in Caen

Our colleague Jaroslav Aubrecht spent a week at the French university ENSICaen in Normandy, where he focused on the application of in situ  FTIR to study the surface of catalysts. This is an advanced method that allows you to monitor catalyst structure directly under specific reaction conditions. During his stay, he focused on the adsorption of carbon monoxide, CO, with which he described the chemical state of active sites on copper catalysts.
This research stay not only brought a valuable scientific contribution to the currently addressed issue, but also opened up new opportunities for international cooperation - for example, student exchange between the two institutions.
