Gonçalo and Martín spent with us four months

Two Erasmus students from Portugal and Spain arrived at our laboratory in the spring to get new skills and experience. It was the first international experience for Gonçalo who came for 4 months to Prague. His topic was focused on the synthesis of modified Al-SBA-15 materials. Martin had already studying at UCT for the second semester so the laboratory practice was part of his bachelor's thesis. In his thesis, he synthesized modified silica supports and described the optimized procedure and support properties. Despite both guys arrived independently and did not know each other, they formed powerful laboratory pair. Besides the results, they made a friendly laboratory spirit with lots of jokes and smiles around.

Therefore we believe that the international experience is not about work, but mainly about establishing new relationships, discovering new places and getting new opinions on the World. We want to say thank you to them and wish them a successful career.
