The GreenCats research group regularly invites highly-respected speakers to UCT. This year, in collaboration with the Department of Organic Technology, we are excited to introduce a new seminar series, UCT Catalytic Fall 2024. We want to kick out the new academic semester and boost student's motivation by interacting with great speakers. Each year, this seminar will focus on a different topic. This year's theme is:
Principles of the preparation of heterogeneous catalysts
We are honoured to host two distinguished speakers:
Krijn de Jong - Utrecht University
Krijn de Jong is a renowned expert in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, with a focus on the synthesis, characterization, and application of supported metal catalysts. His research has significantly advanced our understanding of catalyst preparation methods, particularly in the context of nanomaterials and sustainable chemical processes.
Gonzalo Prieto - ITQ Valencia
Gonzalo Prieto is a leading researcher specializing in the design and development of nanostructured catalytic materials. His work has been pivotal in exploring novel catalytic processes for energy conversion and environmental protection.
The seminar will take place at UCT Prague on September 27th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in room B2319. We look forward to your participation in what promises to be an insightful and engaging event.
